Elysia cf. marginata can be distinguished by very fleshy parapodia whereas Elysia marginata has thin parapodias. The parapodias form 3 siphons, the black parapodial margin and a submarginal yellow or orange band are interrupted between the siphons. This species is as Elysia sp. 2 in IPN on page 80, it was posted on 3 June 2003 at these websites as Elysia cf. ornata (Swainson, 1840) [Thallepus], Krug et al. (2016) restricted Elysia ornata to Atlantic waters and showed that there may be undescribed Indo-Pacific species, all members of the Elysia ornata clade. References: Gosliner, Terrence M., David W.
