Trinchesia sp. 05  Genus: von Ihering, 1879

Trinchesia sp. 05 is characterized by its whitish-blue body. The smooth rhinophores, the oral tentacles, and the foot are translucent brownish with opaque white spots. There is a pale yellow median band on the head and between the oral tentacles. The cerata are whitish with a pale yellow subapical ring, followed by a diffuse pale bluish band with dark bluish spots, and a diffuse pale yellow ring.
Dr. Richard Willan writes: "It seems there is a group of very similar looking small species with gold and blue rings on their cerata and the way to tell them apart is by the colours (and patterns) on their rhinophores and oral tentacles."
Pretty similar at least with blue and yellow on the head are:
Abronica sp. 01 which differs by "V"shaped blue and yellow on the head,
Trinchesia sp. 13 which differs by red spots on the cerata, and by the rhinophores, which are covered with opaque wite spots, and by the oral tentacles, which are also covered with opaque wite spots, and
Trinchesia sp. 23 which differs by the translucent browish body, and by the cerata, which have 2 swellings
This species was posted on 11 June 2011 at these websites as Cuthona sp. E  Genus: Alder & Hancock, 1855, on 14 June 2011 changed into
Trinchesia sp. E  Genus: von Ihering, 1879, and on 15 July 2011 changed into Trinchesia sp. 05  Genus: von Ihering, 1879.
Cella et al. (2016) restricted the genus Cuthona  Alder & Hancock, 1855 to the type species, C. nana (Alder & Hancock, 1842) just like Miller (2004) did, and synonymised the genera
- Catriona  Winckworth, 1941,
- Phestilla  Bergh, 1874,
- Cuthona  Alder & Hancock, 1855 (partim), and
- Trinchesia  Ihering, 1879
with Tenellia  A. Costa, 1866 in the family Fionidae  J.E. Gray, 1857.
I moved on 11 January 2017 Trinchesia sp. 05  Genus: von Ihering, 1879 as #42 into the genus Tenellia  A. Costa, 1866.
Korshunova et al. (2017) restricted the genus Tenellia  A. Costa, 1866 to this 3 species:
-Tenellia adspersa (Nordmann, 1845)
-Tenellia chaetopterana Ekimova, Deart & Schepetov, 2017 and
-Tenellia fuscata (Gould, 1870)
and reinstated the family Trinchesiidae  F. Nordsieck, 1972 with the genera
-Catriona  Winckworth, 1941
-Diaphoreolis  Iredale & O'Donoghue, 1923
-Phestilla  Bergh, 1874
-Rubramoena  Cella, Carmona, Ekimova, Chichvarkhin, Schepetov & Gosliner, 2016
-Tenellia  A. Costa, 1866
-Trinchesia  von Ihering, 1879 and
-Zelentia  Korshunova, Martynov & Picton, 2017
and moved it again into the genus Trinchesia  von Ihering, 1879.
I changed it back on 243 October 2017 into Trinchesia sp. 05  Genus: von Ihering, 1879.
