Thuridilla vatae is characterised by the dark blue colour. At the parapodial edge is a cream line. There are cream spots on the parapodia. The tips of the rhinophores are orange while the base is white.
Pretty similar is Thuridilla albopustulosa which differs by the bright purple colour and the median white line on the rhinophores.
