The genus Gymnodoris is an interesting genus of carnivorous nudibranchs
which feed on other sea slugs.
Gymnodoris inornata is characterized by its numerous short gills, forming a complete ring.
The colour ranges from translucent yellow to deep reddish orange with slightly raised darker coloured pustules.
It is a large species growing to at least 6 cm.
