"cf." is an abbreviation from a Latin word (confer) and means 'refer to' or 'compare with', here it means it could possibly be Phyllodesmium poindimiei or perhaps something closely related, or at least similar in appearance.
Phyllodesmium cf. poindimiei is characterized by a slender, elongate translucent pink body. The cerata are cylindrical, smooth, curved near the tips, and covered with white spots. The digestive gland ducts are deep pink with simple branches. There is a blue iridescence subapically on the cerata, rhinophores and oral tentacles.
Pretty similar is Phyllodesmium poindimiei which has white spots on the body and has orange digestive gland ducts.
