Armina sp. 08 can be distinguished from other arminaceans by the greyish foot with a diffuse whitish margin, and wide angular extensions anteriorly.The mantle has also a whitish margin. The oral veil is also greyish with a pale orange margin. The rhinophores are basally translucent greyish, apically orange. Pretty similar are: Armina sp. 02 which has a black foot with an orange-red margin followed by an interior diffuse blue band, and has rhinophores, basal diffuse blue, then black, the apex is orange-red, between the rhinophores is a diffuse blue patch, Armina sp. 06 which has a diffuse blue patch on the anterior portion of the oral veil and has pale yellow margin of the foot followed by pale blue, and Armina magna which differs by the black foot with an orange-red margin, and by the black rhinophores with and orange tip. |
