There are many similar coloured chromodorids which Bill Rudman calls the "Chromodoris quadricolor colour group" of species characterised by black longitudinal lines, bluish backgrounds and orange borders. Chromodoris elisabethina is characterised by its uniform blue areas of the mantle and the black median line.
