Ceratosoma trilobatum (Gray, J.E., 1827) [Doris]

At Gato Island, pretty close to Malapascua Island you find dozens of sea-slugs
during each dive. Here I discovered strange colour variants of Ceratosoma
trilobatum. Pretty similar are Ceratosoma
tenue which can have very similar colour patterns but 5 lateral
lobes and Ceratosoma gracillimum
which also has 3 lateral lobes but no mantle edge between the head and the lobes.
Ceratosoma trilobatum has only 3 of them: one behind the gills and one large lateral
lobe on each side of the body, just anterior to the gills - as
this shot shows.
