Odontoglaja guamensis is either very variable in colour or there are several species in the genus Odontoglaja, according to

has Odontoglaja guamensis "a white body with brown patches and a series of rust brown spots with larger rounded tubercles". These tubercles are in many specimens flat and pink in colour, encircled in white.
