Aglaja orientalis is characterized by its dark green coloration with small opaque white spots,
and three transverse white bars with orange spots, one in the middle, one on the head and one on the tail.
Bill Rudman writes: "This rather elongate aglajid has anatomical characters which suggest it is
neither a Philinopsis nor an Aglaja.", so he labels it Aglaja? orientalis.
