Like many other members of this genus Chelidonura varians is reported
to feed on small flatworms Chelidonura varians is very similar
in colour to the related Philinopsis
gardineri from which it can be easily separated by the long pointed
posterior tails present in Chelidonura. Here is a specimen
burrowing in the sand, this shot
shows several specimens mating.
