For a long time the name Stylocheilus longicauda was used for the more common species Stylocheilus striatus, Bill Rudman discusses the correct identity at the Sea-Slug Forum. Pretty similar are Petalifera ramosa which differs by the bownish or green body colour, firm conical tubercles with white basal ocelli and terminal papillae, and a short tail Petalifera cf. ramosa which lacks the blue spots with orange ocelli and has a short 'tail' More informations on Stylocheilus longicauda are at Bill Rudman's Sea-Slug Forum! |
