Notarchus indicus Schweigger, 1820

The parapodia of Notarchus indicus are almost completely fused.
There is a small anterior opening to allow an exchange of water to the
mantle cavity, which enables it to escape from danger by swimming by
jet propulsion. Its background colour varies from translucent yellowish-tan to greenish brown. It is covered
with small white and/or yellow spots, and some larger darker spots, which are in some specimens
black. It has larger conical tubercles.Notarchus indicus has no shell.
