Dermatobranchus cf. albus is characterised by longitudinal low ridges and grooves, which are not parallel to the median line. The ridges are white, the grooves are darker translucent grey. The rhinophores bear longitudinal perfoliations, are grey at the base, the upper part is orange. The oral veil is white with a yellow/orange anterior border. Dermatobranchus cf. albus differs from Dermatobranchus albus by the missing of the broad black band at the rhinophores and by having no yellow crest upon the ridges.
