Spurilla major is characterised by a brown or brownish-green background colour with a pattern of light, sometimes whitish patches over cerata and body. There is also a distinctive pattern of bands on the head. In some animals there are traces of a blue subapical band and a yellow tip to the cerata. This shot shows a specimen laying eggs. This aeolid was identified by Dr. Juan Lucas Cervera Currado as Berghia major, thanks!
