Phyllodesmium kabiranum is characterised by a light brown or orange-brown
colour and an opaque white line, of irregular width, running down the dorsal
midline from the head to the tail. The basal half of the cerata is brownish
and the upper half is whitish blue, sometimes whitish yellow. It rapidly
drops off many of its cerata when disturbed
(autotomise).
Like other members of the genus Phyllodesmium it is what Bill Rudman
calls "Solar-powered
Sea Slugs".
