Phyllodesmium crypticum is characterised by very nodulose cerata,
especially along the edges.
It rapidly drops off many of its cerata when disturbed
(autotomise).
Like other members of the genus Phyllodesmium it is
what Bill Rudman calls
"Solar-powered Sea Slugs".
